Chronology of cameras Contax
This digital SLR has historical significance as it was the first to feature a sensor the size of a 24 x 36 mm film negative, manufactured by Philips.
It was announced in 2000 but only hit the market in 2002... for just one year, with criticism focusing sharply on noise levels starting at ISO 100.
The lenses must be equipped with a specific mount for the Contax N series. They were manufactured by Carl Zeiss.
